My Mind is an Open Book....

My life is no more interesting that anyones else's, except that I have Hyper Mobility Syndrome which means I have to lead my life in a rather odd way and I'm prone to some rather ridiculous and amusing injuries and I've decided to write some of the funnier (or stranger) things down. After having started off publishing the occasional article, I started keeping a diary in 2012, which proved to be a success on more levels than I ever imagined.

So here you will find my diaries, my stories, lessons learnt, lessons not learnt, hints picked up through years of hard graft in odd places, recipes, book and music reviews, Chew Valley based Ramblings and HMS fueled adventures - basically the contents of my mind written down with pictures added.

Intelligence v Common Sense – a No Brainer?

Now, I am the first to admit that I'm no Brain of Britain. My eyes cloud over with confused fog should someone attempt to explain the finer complexities of the internal combustion engine, there are menus on my digi box that will forever remain a mystery to me, and I have long maintained that I hit my academic peak when I passed the entrance exam to gain my place at private girls' school, aged 11.

I'm not however a complete numpty either. I did manage to stay the course at the private girls' school and left at the end of the 6th form with 8 GSCEs and 3 A-levels under my belt. I've run my own business since I was 19, I know the difference between there, they're and their, and I'm rather good at Sudoku. I've always worked in very customer facing environments and have met all sorts of people from all walks of life. I therefore believe that I am qualified enough to make the following statement, based on a lifetime's worth of observation....
